Saloon Attendants Demand Loans from President Museveni

Shortly after President Museveni further eased the lockdown by allowing saloon operators, some arcades and boda boda riders to resume following the standard operating procedures, saloon operators are demanding president to avail them with loans that will help them open their business effectively.

Through their Chairperson Mrs. Ayebaale Gertrude of Mpanga Saloon operators Association, the members say that with the four months of closure, most of their cosmetics have expired yet they don’t have enough funds to cater for their families.

The excited Saloon operators expressed their gratitude to president Museveni for allowing them to operate.

They however assure the president and entire country that with the opening, they will observe all the Standard Operation Procedures as directed by the president.

On Tuesday 21st July, President Museveni announced the opening of salons provided they have face shields for their staff, check temperature of clients, observe social distancing, turn off air conditioning, and ensure proper hygiene measures.
